Naturally almost all of Fersen’s own work is represented, largely in the form of very rare first (and usually only) editions, as well as issues of his literary journal Akademos (partly bankrolled by Mathilde de Morny). There are also original works by contemporary writers, some commenting on the Fersen scandal, others riffing generally on gay themes. They include (deep breath, pause for emphasis) Alfred Jarry, Jean Lorrain, Rachilde, Liane de Pougy, Renée Vivien, Natalie Barney, Marcel Proust and Robert de Montesquiou (with a letter in the count’s own hand), and outre-Manche representation from the likes of Marc-André Raffalovich and Oscar Wilde.
Basically it’s Strange Flowers’ letter to Santa, bound and illustrated."
James Conway (http://strangeflowers.wordpress.com/2012/05/30/autour-de-jacques/)
Chez les libraires associéshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14509454746103382619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8812508838736297419.post-47372183302695336402013-08-10T09:23:58.200+02:002013-08-10T09:23:58.200+02:00"The brilliant libraires associés in Paris ha..."The brilliant libraires associés in Paris has just published the catalogue of an amazing collection of books by and about Jacques d'Adelswärd Fersen the great French decadent. The collection is truely astonishing and must have taken a long time to put together. The catalogue also contains work by Essebac and Raffalovich as well as Sarah Bernhardt items and a good Wilde selection including some signed titles. All in all it's a very juicy catalogue and books it's bilingual so even if your French isn't up to much you can still get something out of it!"
Callum James (http://callumjames.blogspot.de/2012/05/jacques-dadelsward-fersen-catalogue.html)
